Phone communication between customer and expert

How it works

VOIP is additional paid module available in Expert template and allowing communication between a customer and Expert using a regular phone call.

Here is how it works:

  1. A customer can open a profile of any expert allowing incoming phone calls
  2. The customer would see phone number a PIN code
  3. Once Phone call is made the customer would hear a voice message and request to enter PIN code
  4. Based on PIN code the system will route call to appropriate Expert
  5. If Expert accepts the call VOIP will route customer and expert to talk together and charge customer per-minute fee


Setup requirements

  1. Register account at https://voip.ms/ service
  2. Purchase DID number there. It could be either a regular phone number or toll-free number. Multiple numbers can be purchased as well.
  3. Download following voice files and record your own to use with VOIP.
    Files are in ulaw format, you can record in ulaw or mp3.
    IMPORTANT: please keep filenames exactly the same (but file extension different if mp3 recorded). Use VLC player for playing ulaw files. 

Audio files content

There are sample audio files attached which could be replaced with your own recorded audio. Please make sure you are using exactly the same name and format of audio files. Use online tools if you need to convert mp3/wav into ulaw audio format.
