How to create a domain alias

How to create a domain alias

To begin with, the domain must be registered with a domain registrar and configured according to these instructions https://scrile.atlassian.net/l/cp/xRZe2b6D in the same way as the main site

Next, you need to go to the Plesk server panel (only main administrator can create an alias)

Click “Add Domain Alias”

Specify the name of your Alias, make sure that the required domain is selected in the "for domain *" field, as well as the location marked with the item "Web Service" and click Ok

Now you need to issue an SSL certificate for it

Select the created alias

Click on Security

Reissue Certificate

Install a free basic certificate

Add a new domain to the existing ones and click “get it free”

Attention! do not try to issue the certificate again in case of failure, contact the manager to solve the problem. If one of the added domain aliases stops working, it must be removed from certificate issuance, otherwise the certificate will not be able to automatically renew and all working aliases and main site will be inaccessible due to an insecure connection

Congratulations! The certificate has been issued and the alias is ready to go
