Changing the website name

So you have successfully changed the domain of your platform and now the final step to establishing your unique brand identity is to update the name of your website that appears in Google search results and when sharing links.

First of all please make sure to change the website title via the “Pages” editor in the admin panel:

  1. Click Edit Homepage:

  1. Click on the burger menu and then Body:

  1. Click the gear icon and edit the Page title field:

And it’s done, your main page title is changed now.

The next step is for you to go to the general settings in the admin panel and look for the “Site name” and “Meta description” fields. Click on the blue pencil icon in the right upper corner and change them in accordance with your branding:

“Meta description” is a brief text under a website’s name that appears in Google search results and tells you what the page is about. Make sure to make it brief but informative, using the key words that your website will be searched by.

 

After you have completed the above-mentioned steps, you will need to wait some time for the Google bots to crawl through the page again and note all the changes made to update their index. This process may sometimes take up to several weeks, so don’t worry. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything to speed up this process from our side, since it depends only on Google bots.
