How to change text translation on your site

The most part of the regular phrases and texts on site are placed with using I18n system. This system provides an opportunity to display the phrases in the correct translation based on the selected website language. Now you can easily made changes yourself with help of Internationalization page.



To enter this page you have to login as Admin and proceed to this page: yoursitename.com/exec/manager/i18n.jsp

How to make changes in existing translation:

  1. Choose language which you’d like to make changes to

2. Press button “Import from I18n-german.xml”. System will upload all available phrases.

3. Each phrase can be edited or removed. If you remove phrase, it will be hidden only for Internalization page, the System won’t remove it from site.

4. Press “Edit” button to change phrase translation. After entering correct text, press “Save” button to submit.

5. After you’ve finished making changes, press button “Publish translation” at the top of the page. Important: please note, that if you don’t press “Publish translation” in the end, otherwise these changes will be saved only on Internalization page.



How to add new phrase:

If you have in your website common phrase, that don’t have translation to languages allowed in your System, you can add it yourself.

  1. Choose language you’d like to add phrase

  2. Press “Add phrase” button to trigger popup, where you can add it. You should add phrase only in english.

3. After adding phrase, you need to find it in the list with other phrases and add correct translation. Press “Save” to submit changes.

4. After you’ve finished making changes, press button “Publish translation” at the top of the page.
